THIS IS WHERE I'M SUPPOSED TO BE OUTGOING AND TELL YOU A BIT ABOUT MYSELF
Pronounced: Ah-mah-rahn-tine
Hey, there! My name is Ember Trembley. I'm super short at just over 5' so don't be surprised if I bring a step stool or ladder to your session. I love God, my handsome stud of a husband, my family, my friends, cleaning, and photography (obviously, otherwise I picked the wrong profession!). I also love getting massages if any massage therapists out there are volunteering! I am an ambivert so don't expect to see me at huge parties every weekend. My main love languages are quality time and physical touch. That's why most days you can find me cuddled up in an oversized sweatshirt and sweats next to my hubby or reading a book on the couch. No matter what I'm doing, I'll most likely have a hot cup of tea or an ice-cold chocolate caramel chai frappe in my hand! I am a natural light photographer based out of Woodland, Washington in the Pacific Northwest who loves to stomp in mud puddles and dance in the rain any chance I get.
A lot of people ask me why I came up with the name “Amarantine Photography”. I prayed and thought a lot about what I want my photographs to represent. The word “amarantine” is taken from ancient Greek and means eternally beautiful and unfading; everlasting or immortal (the same as the amaranth flower-an imaginary flower that never fades). The flower (which is the flower in my logo) is a deep purple-red; purple representing royalty and red representing energy and love. I want my photography to convey to you how special and loved you are.
My goal is to take pictures of you for who you ARE, not what Photoshop and society tells you what you can be. My favorite part about taking pictures is seeing my clients light up when I tell them how amazing they look in front of the camera. Although, yes, I will do touch-ups and enhance my photos, I want the images I produce to be as real as what I see in front of my lens during your session. I want to capture not just your outer beauty (because you're freaking gorgeous!), but your heart. I want your inner beauty to shine through in every single picture I take. During each session, I educate my clients as to how they can hold themselves in pictures; thus, giving them more confidence than when they showed up to their session.
I've been taking pictures since I was 9 years old with my grandpa's camera (which took floppy disks). Yes, I know it's a bit cliché and EVERY photographer says it but I fell in love with capturing moments and, after about 7 years, I purchased a camera of my own. It was a dinky little Canon PowerShot but it was something.
And it was all mine!
I started doing photoshoots with it (since at the time I didn't want to spend so much money on a more expensive camera). People thought I was using a DSLR (which is a fancy term for a super nice camera) and I took that as a massive compliment. Eventually, in November 2015 I ordered one of those super fancy cameras as a Christmas present to myself and haven't looked back since. Slowly, over the next couple of months, I floundered around and learned with every picture I took. I still don't know a lot of the technical terms for camera parts, lenses, and camera functions but I know what they do and I can create magic with that knowledge.
