WHAT I OFFER

I want to be up front about everything so there's no surprises later! I specialize in seniors, couples, maternity, small events (birthday parties, reunions, etc.), families, styled shoots, and head shots. I am also stepping into boudoir and birth photography as well as videography.

The majority of my sessions are candid and not posed which means I don't guarantee smiles but I do guarantee treasured moments. I am super silly and will work hard and do my best to get those smiles but I will also blend in when I need to. I love creating great memories for my clients and their families and I hope to do the same for you! If you are interested in doing a styled shoot or you just want those jaw-dropping shots, you need to be okay with getting a little wet or dirty because the BEST photographs are taken when you forget the camera is even there and explore the beautiful terrain God created. Whether you're on your horse, covered in mud, playing with your pooches in your backyard, or watching your kids "help" in the garden, I would love to be there to capture those moments.
I will occasionally put the camera down to fix some out-of-place hair, a pesky bra strap, or a crooked tie. I don't want you focusing on me but it is part of my job to be sure you look your best when I snap that PERFECT picture! Then there are other times where your cardigan is falling off while your husband twirls you in the air and your hair is crazy that I will also capture. Because that is real life.

HOW DOES THE BOOKING PROCESS WORK?

It can be intimidating finding a photographer that fits your style and vision so I try to make that decision-making process as easy as possible! Once you have sent an initial inquiry, I normally send out a questionnaire and then follow up with a phone consultation once you've returned that to me! It helps me get to know you a bit better and allows you to get a feel for me as well! After that, if you decide we are a good fit, I send you the contract to sign and send back. You aren't fully booked until your retainer is paid, though! You can see my pricing here to know how much you need to pay to secure your date and time. The remainder of your session fee needs to be paid a week prior to your session. I, unfortunately, don't accept mobile payment at this time so payment must be made in the form of cash or money order.

DO YOU HAVE A CLIENT CLOSET?

I do! I'm growing my client closet regularly so share your vision with me and I'll see if I have something that matches that! If I don't, I'm more than happy to scour the internet and send you links to some wonderful options.

WILL YOU PICK MY/OUR LOCATION FOR OUR PORTRAIT SESSION AND TELL ME/US WHAT TO WEAR?

I definitely can if you want! I love the PNW and I've explored quite a bit of it so I would have absolutely no problem making location suggestions based on the expectation you have for your session! Plus, I know all the good spots!

As for outfits, unless it is a styled shoot and I have a very specific vision in mind, I always tell people to wear clothes they feel comfortable in. If you're comfortable, that shows in the images I capture. It is always appreciated if you don't have logos or massive images on the front of your clothing unless that's what you're going for. They tend to distract the eye and take away from what is important in the picture (which is YOU and whoever is joining you in front of the camera!). Although the goal is to be comfortable, don't be TOO comfortable. Not everything that looks fantastic in real life looks the same from behind the lens. Ladies, stick with clothing that accentuates your body, try to leave your favorite oversized tee at home. Gents, a casual button up, plain t-shirt, or sweater can't fail. Another thing to consider when picking clothing colors is your eye color and what is flattering to your skin tone. Check out my page on preparation for more details!

DO YOU PROVIDE A STUDIO AS WELL AS HAIR AND MAKE-UP STYLISTS?

I don't have a studio because I definitely prefer shooting outdoors. However, if you choose to book a boudoir, maternity, or lifestyle session with me, we can always create a space in your home.

I do not typically provide a hair and make-up artist but, for an extra charge, I would be willing to provide you with that luxury.
